Divorce Arbitration is a process to resolve divorce cases when couples do not want either an adversary Court case heard before a judge or mediation before a mediator. Couples use this process when they can’t come to agreement and want a less expensive and faster resolution of their case. They may use attorney or represent themselves. The arbitration takes place in a private setting and is not open to the public. It is informal process where the rules of evidence don’t apply but the parties will be reasonable in presenting their evidence. Hearing are scheduled at the convenience of the parties and there is no waiting for a case to be heard.
